LOTTOLAND ACHIEVES GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE: €90 Million EuroJackpot Pay-out secures Lottoland a World Record

By Press ReleasesNo Comments

Guinness World Records confirms Lottoland achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest online gambling pay-out

On June 1 a lucky winner from Germany scooped the EuroJackpot top prize of €90 million (£79m) at Lottoland – now Guinness World Records have confirmed the jackpot is the Largest online gambling pay-out in history. The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS certificate was officially handed to Lottoland yesterday.

The company secured the title of “Largest Online Gambling Pay-out” after Christina, a 36-year old cleaner from Berlin, had placed a bet on the Eurojackpot lottery via her mobile on www.lottoland.com. Her mother chose the five lucky numbers (14, 19, 21, 30, 32) and the two Euro numbers (4 and 7) which matched and brought her this record-breaking win.

Nigel Birrell, CEO at Lottoland, said: “We are absolutely delighted to achieve a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD. It’s such an accolade to find ourselves in this hall of fame. This title is a confirmation of our business model, it proves that we are able to even break world records thanks to our sophisticated insurance model.”

“At Lottoland, we are in the business of making dreams come true. Therefore, we are always thrilled that we just completely changed the life of one of our players completely. We pride ourselves on paying out even the biggest wins within record time and are more than happy to help Christina and her mum to fulfil their dreams.”

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official adjudicator Sofia Greenacre said: “I’m pleased to confirm that Lottoland did indeed manage to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the
Largest online gambling pay-out, which now stands at an incredible €90,000,000. My congratulations go out to all those who took part, you are OFFICIALLY AMAZING.”

Launched in 2013, Lottoland has created over 350 jobs, has over eight million customers, and is active across four continents. The primary aim of the company is to offer its customers a broad choice of high jackpot games – at Lottoland, it’s possible to bet on over 30 lotteries from around the world or to play jackpot games drawn hourly. LOTTOLAND PAYS OUT WORLD RECORD €90 MILLION THROUGH ITS INDUSTRY LEADING INSURANCE MODEL

By Press ReleasesNo Comments
  • This is the biggest online win to have ever been paid by a gaming company
  • Lottoland pays out major wins through its insurance company Fortuna Insurance
  • Lottoland is the first and only company in the gaming sector to have established its own insurance company

Leading online lotto operator, Lottoland, has announced that a lucky winner in Germany scooped Friday’s (1st June 2018) EuroJackpot top prize of €90 million, which is the equivalent to £79 million.

This win is the largest prize pay-out for any online gambling company in the world, and the biggest pay-out for Lottoland in its five-year history.

The prize funds will be paid out through Lottoland’s industry leading insurance model, where its subsidiary, Fortuna PCC, uses a series of financial instruments including Insurance Linked Securities and collateralised re-insurance to guarantee top prizes.

Fortuna was established in September last year, and is regulated by Financial Services Commission (FSC) in Gibraltar and EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority).

Lottoland is the only gaming company to have established its own insurance company – holding itself up to the highest standard with regards to industry best practice and transparency.

Lottoland’s tried and tested risk management structure has already made several multi-millionaires, but this record breaking win eclipses them all.

The winner Christina, a 36-year-old cleaner from Berlin, had put a bet on the EuroJackpot jackpot via her mobile. Her mother chose the five lucky numbers (14, 19, 21, 30, 32) and the two Euro numbers (4 and 7) which matched and bagged her this record breaking win.

She must be one of the luckiest Lottoland players on record as she only registered on her mobile two weeks ago, won €8.60 on her first bet and then the life changing jackpot the following week.

On her big win, she said “I’ve always wanted to travel and visit new countries and places – the USA has always been at the top of my list and now I can plan a trip from the East to the West coast in a camper van. I can’t wait!”

Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell called the win a ‘landmark’ moment for the online gaming industry: “More and more players from around the world are waking up to the fact that they can bet on the biggest jackpots the world has to offer at Lottoland.”

“This record €90 million win is a break-through moment both for our business and the industry as a whole, as it is the largest jackpot pay-out ever across the online gaming and lotto industry. We look forward to breaking more records in the future.”

Lottoland allows players to bet on the world’s biggest lotteries, with the opportunity to win the same prizes – including the jackpot. Major draws available at Lottoland include US PowerBall and US MegaMillions, EuroMillionaire, Spain’s El Gordo and many more from Europe and across the globe.

Other gaming operators can also benefit from Lottoland’s unique lottery insurance solution thanks to Lottoland’s B2B arm Lottoland Solutions. Lottoland Solutions, which guarantees pay outs on all winnings while also offering a lottery betting interface that is easy to integrate into existing websites.

36-jährige Berlinerin gewinnt 90 Millionen EuroJackpot

By German Press Releases

Reinigungskraft wird über Nacht zur Multimillionärin

36-jährige Berlinerin gewinnt 90 Millionen EuroJackpot

  • Weltrekord: Höchster Online-Glücksspielgewinn weltweit
  • Christina M. will ihren Job als Reinigungskraft kündigen
